Ron Cook

PH.D., TH.M., M.DIV., LMHC-S, BCPCC

Practice Owner/Clinical Director

Ron has received the Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree from Mississippi College, the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree with Specialization in Psychology and Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS), the Master of Theology (Th.M) degree from NOBTS, and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Counselor Education and Supervision from NOBTS. Ron’s approach to counseling is an integration of Biblical truths and Psychological concepts and methods. Ron is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL license # MH11071), an Approved Supervisor of Mental Health Counseling interns, a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor with the International Board of Christian Counselors, and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Ron’s education and experience have equipped him to deal with a number of life’s problem including anxiety, depression, mental health concerns, anger, PTSD, sexual addiction, and many others. In addition, Ron specializes in marital and premarital counseling and recovery from childhood physical and sexual abuse and other traumatic injuries.

Ron is an active member of McGregor Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon, Life Group teacher, and head of disaster relief. Ron also serves as a regional coordinator for Florida Baptist Disaster Relief. 

Rebecca Garland

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Rebecca has received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University- a CACREP accredited university. She is EMDR and Level 1 Gottman Trained.  Rebecca is a member of the American Counseling Association, American School Counselor Association, and the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL license #22807) who offers sessions both in person and virtually. She specializes in working with high school/college-aged students, couples, and individuals working to cope with anxiety, trauma, and other various challenges. Her holistic approach incorporates aspects of physical activity and nutrition in addition to her faith-based principles. Techniques such as CBT and DBT are commonly used in treatment. Cindy Fisher

MA.ED.

Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern

Cindy sees her role as a counselor to restore hope, create a safe space to face challenges, to highlight clients’ strengths, and help them make meaning out of circumstances and choices. She holds a master’s degree (M.A.) in clinical mental health counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University and a master’s in education (M.A. Ed.) from the University of Phoenix. Her bachelor’s degree (B.A.) is in theatre/drama from Lawrence University. Being a lifelong learner inform the way Cindy works in counseling.

Play is the way children communicate and work through their issues. Using play techniques like expressive arts, bibliotherapy (books), sand tray, and games, Miss Cindy works with children aged 5 years+ to calm their bodies and minds to find peace and joy in a confusing and complex world. She sees children who experience issues with anxiety, anger, ability to focus, parental separation, school refusal, depression, and self-harm. Her 15-year background as a teacher laid the foundation for her expertise in child and adolescent development. Miss Cindy is in her third year of providing mental health and crisis support for young people in local middle and elementary schools.

Cindy loves the variety of working with adults, teens, tweens, littles and couples in counseling. Prior to teaching, Cindy’s 20+ years of experience in marketing, training, HR, and theatre, give her a broad life basis from which to provide integrated therapy with CBT, ACT, DBT, person- centered, expressive arts, solution focused, and systems theories with a Biblical perspective in working with clients.

Cindy is a member of the American Counseling Association, Florida Mental Health Counselor’s Association, Association for Play Therapy and the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Eden Stauffer

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

My heart is to hold a safe space for my clients and help them navigate their unique human experiences. I believe that every story matters, the pain felt in this broken world is real, and there is truly hope for healing, redemption, and transformation in Jesus. By integrating evidence-based cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness approaches with Biblical understanding, I aim to walk with you as you discover the healthiest version of yourself.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University and a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University (CACREP accredited). I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Currently, I am working on my post-graduate clinical hours to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have specific experience in working with clients who struggle with anxiety and depression by providing them with coping skills to manage symptoms and processes to heal the root causes. I also have experience working with families, couples, and individuals navigating diverse concerns such as trauma, ADHD, codependency, and communication issues.

I can help you grow in self-awareness, create a treatment plan best fit for you, provide you with tools, and help you process your past and present to step into the best future possible. It would be an honor to sit with you, hear your story, and work together to reach your goals.
